Don't love what you can't trust. Don't hate what you can't have. Don't say what you can't show. Don't judge what you don't know.
Some time ago, Livia had sent him on his merry, happy way, to find where and how Cassimer was getting these aura-bombs into Dalmasca, and to the House Asheron farms. The problem, of course, was that Cassimer was doing this covertly enough, no one seemed to have any idea these aura-bombs were making it across the border to begin with.
Oh, Suyis had a few ideas, a few, perhaps correct ideas, but he had a few things to check on, first, before spilling everything he knew. Some things, after all, Livia truthfully did not need to know, but she did have this dreadful habit of sticking her nose into things she wasn't entirely sure she should stick her nose into. Of course, it wasn't as if she'd know that before finding out, so he did have to give her a little slack.
"Darling," he squealed, only a little slurred, as he wandered into the Asheron foyer. It was loud, in here, either that or the buzzing in his ear from one of his shipmates smacking it still had not quite gone away. It was difficult to tell. And the difficulties in telling the difference were probably his hint that he was far too drunk for his own good, but, hey, what'd he care. "I'm home~!" Not really. Here hadn't quite been home in a long time, but it was close enough for him to say the words.
"I bring news! Maybe not good news, but it's news!" Now, of course, he had to figure out how Essair fit into this, because that name was uttered a few too many times for him to believe it all unrelated. But, Suyis had found the chain of smuggle, or so he thought. These things were quite delicate, you see, no one wanted to get caught red-handed dealing in such illegal things as aura-bombs, and it was all very hush-hush careful. A man like Marcus Cassimer had many things hiding in his proverbial closet, but, a man like Marcus Cassimer had also gotten very good at hiding aforementioned closet.
It was a good thing, it would seem, that Livia had called in the big guns. Suyis was oh so good at hiding closets - and unearthing other peoples' closets.
